Novaris Education ("Novaris") is committed to protecting the privacy of teachers, learners, parents and schools who use the platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices users have.

Depending on how Novaris is used, we may collect:

• Name and email address
• Teacher account information
• School/class information created by teachers
• Learner names or learner profiles created by teachers
• Timetable information
• Calendar events
• Teacher and learner notes
• Homework and assignment submissions
• Research tasks and written task responses
• Uploaded files, images, documents or audio recordings
• AI feedback and assessment results
• Technical information needed to operate and secure the platform

If a teacher chooses to connect Google Calendar, Novaris requests read-only access to selected Google Calendar information.

Novaris uses this access only to import school calendar events into the Novaris Teacher Calendar.

Novaris does not:

• Create Google Calendar events
• Edit Google Calendar events
• Delete Google Calendar events
• Share Google Calendar information with other users
• Use Google Calendar data for advertising

Teachers may disconnect Google Calendar at any time.

We use information to:

• Provide teacher and learner workspace tools
• Manage classes, homework and assignments
• Display calendars and timetables
• Generate learner feedback
• Support AI-assisted marking and practice
• Create formatted learner and teacher PDF reports
• Provide technical support
• Improve the reliability and usefulness of Novaris

Some Novaris features use AI services to generate feedback, mark learner work, review written tasks, or assist with educational practice.

Only the information required for the specific educational task is sent to the AI service. AI features are intended to support teachers and learners, not replace teacher judgement.

Learner information is managed by teachers or schools. Novaris is intended for educational use under teacher or school supervision.

Novaris does not sell personal information.

Information may be processed by trusted service providers where required to operate the platform, such as hosting, authentication, storage, email delivery, AI services, or calendar connection services.

Novaris uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect user information. Access is restricted to authorised users.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, support users, comply with legal obligations, or maintain platform records. Users may request deletion where appropriate.

Users may:

• Update their account information
• Disconnect Google Calendar
• Request deletion of their account
• Request information about stored data
• Contact Novaris about privacy concerns
